HYPE is growing more than double the market for digital payments

According to the data of the Innovative Payments Observatory of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano, HYPE records growth greater than more than double the market in the first half of 2021 regarding i digital payments. In a context of strong growth in digital payments, thanks also to the effect of the State Cashback, the challenger bank HYPE has achieved truly significant numbers. HYPE users, in fact, register more and more payments by card or app, confirming the role of fintech as an ally for an increasingly flexible digital management of money.

Excellent results regarding digital payments of HYPE customers

According to the Observatory’s data, HYPE recorded a 67% increase in the value of digital payments. The number of transactions, instead, grows by 80% reaching over 25 million. This is clearly higher than that of the market which records an increase of 23% in the total value of transactions and 41% in the number of transactions.

Double-digit growth in all segments

HYPE shows significant growth in all segments related to payments:

• e-commerce: + 83% of the total volume and + 93% of transactions
• card payments: + 68% of the total volume and + 81% of transactions
• payments of bills, bulletins and telephone top-ups: + 33% of the total volume and + 19% of transactions
• in-store payments via smartphone: + 54% of the total volume and + 67% of transactions
