Hyundai announces the arrival of an i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition, a very exclusive model, especially as regards its exterior.
The Korean carmaker will realize only 800 units of this variant of the i30 N Drive. To be precise 620 of these cars are destined for the European market, the remaining 180 go to Australia.
This “limited edition” makes this model of the i30 N exclusive, but the specs aren’t very impressive, at least, compared to the “normal” variant. Hyundai in fact does not provide extra power and there are no specific chassis adjustments.
However, Hyundai claims to have listened to its customers who already own an i30 N. The result? This Drive-N Limited Edition can be ordered with new exterior colors, ovvero Phantom Black Pearl e Serenity White Pearl. Also standard i 19-inch bronze wheels, black Hyundai logos and specific stripes on the sides, front and rear.
A certainly appreciated detail concerns the logos on the car which also contain the GPS coordinates of the Nürburgring, where Hyundai launched its N series.The letter N was also chosen for the test tracks in Namyang (South Korea) and, of course also for the Nürburgring. In addition, one of the combinations of curves of the circuit, seen from above, forms the letter N.
Hyundai also puts numerous logos inside, including a plaque with the production number. There is also Alcantara on the steering wheel, seats, armrest and handbrake. The latter, made in black, contrasts with the red accent color. This limited edition Drive-N also gets specific floor mats.
As mentioned, nothing changes to the powertrain, although each of these models comes with the Performance Pack, which is optional for the regular i30 N. Dal restyling, the four-cylinder turbo engine delivers 280 hp and 392 Nm. Those who decide to buy this Drive-N Limited Edition can choose between a manual or automatic transmission. Hyundai also offers this variant with three or five doors or Fastback.
It is not the first time that Hyundai has launched an exclusive version of the i30 N. Already three years ago it proposed the Project C, a lighter version of 50 kg than the normal variant. This car is an even more exclusive model, as only 600 were produced.
