Instagram has announced the start of testing for a new feature called “Transmission Channels“. This will allow you to send broadcast messages to multiple users, as is the case with Telegram channels. The creators will then be able to create a group chat in which only he can send messages.
Meta has announced that Broadcast Channels is currently being tested for a select number of creators in the United States.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, explained that messages sent by creators through Broadcast Channels will end up in recipients’ DM (Direct Message) boxes. Where, that is, we already receive the common private messages every day. To be honest Just Zuckerberg launched the first Broadcast Channel on Instagramm, to which it is possible to subscribe through its stories.
Instagram also explained that users will be able to leave reactions to messages on Transmission Channelswhile creators can use them to send as well voice notes, polls and other interactive elements. Meta has also promised that more features will arrive in the coming months, with the implementation of the Transmission Channels on a permanent basis.
Meanwhile, at the beginning of the month, the platform introduced Notes, which allow users to share short thoughts in text form.
