According to a data miner, Fortnite could soon host a special event dedicated to Doctor Who. Twitter user iFireMonkey, known for his accurate previews of Fortnite updates, tweeted some information over the weekend about the possible crossover between Epic Games’ battle royale and the iconic British television series.
The leaker revealed that, apparently, the crossover will last two weeks and will offer players challenges to complete to get free cosmetic rewards.
According to iFireMonkeyl the Doctor Who event will introduce two skins, two pickaxes, a glider and an emote in the in-game item shop, as well as a free spray called Beep the Meep.
In his tweet, the data miner added that the crossover is “most likely scheduled for November” and will have to do with the show’s 60th anniversary. The leaker also hinted that the crossover will be similar to Fortnite’s previous Most Wanted and Dragon Ball events, featuring a dedicated creative map. A bit like what is happening these days with the Coachella island.
We remind you that it is not the first time that Doctor Who has landed on Fortnite. Last year, the sci-fi series was featured in a Fortnite Creative Mode map, where players had to fix the TARDIS while evading aliens.
