The project Defender ForWorks see Land Rover Italia engaged in the creation of unique edition of the Defender for its partners. Among the initiatives underway there is the collaboration with the Italian Red Cross, born several months ago to face the COVID-19 emergency. As part of this partnership, Land Rover has supplied the Italian Red Cross with a Defender Hard Top with custom livery and set-ups. This specimen was made available to support the vaccination campaign and is used as a vehicle for the transit of supplies to the hubs.
The Defender supplied to the Italian Red Cross is supplied with flashing e siren and a biomedical refrigerated container with front opening for the safe transport of vaccines and biomedical products. Thanks to particularly thick walls, it is possible to maximize insulation and maintain the right temperature with a minimum number of starts of the refrigeration unit. For more details on the Defender ForWorks project you can take a look at the official site.
