HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, today announced that Lars Silberbauer is the new Chief Marketing Officer of the company. Silberbauer will now lead the marketing activities of the various devices of the brand, from smartphones to tablets through the countless Nokia accessories. He will also be responsible for HMD Global’s consumer and enterprise services, reporting directly to the company’s CEO Global Florian Cuttlefish.
Prior to this appointment, Silberbauer held prestigious positions. He was in fact at the head of the Brand, Marketing and Digital teams of International Olympic Committee and also Senior Vice President of MTV Digital Studios. In addition to contributing to MTV’s success on digital channels, the executive has also worked in LEGO in the news of Global Senior Director.
As soon as he learned of the appointment, Lars Silberbauer released an official statement which reads:
“I am thrilled to be joining HMD Global at such an exciting time on our new journey. In fact, we’ve just launched the greenest phones ever designed and a revolutionary new subscription service that aims to change the way we interact with smartphones. Consumers are responding to our innovative Circular subscription service, which focuses on sustainability. I look forward to working closely with the marketing team to continue driving the digital transformation of our operations, with the goal of making HMD an impactful digital leader and connecting the world without the earth paying for it. the consequences”.
