Kingston Technology announces that the DDR5 Registered DIMM Server Premier 4800MT/s received certification for the 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor. Certified memories have cuts from 64GB, 32GB e 16GB.
The Server Premier di Kingston Technology allow you to assemble white-box systems, with the security of certification from the main manufacturers of motherboards and systems. With a locked bill of materials (BOM), they ensure brand memories and a consistent primary component revision number between including DRAM, register, PMIC, SPD hub, thermal sensors and PCB.
The fourth generation processor Xeon Scalable di Intel it is the first to support DDR5 memory. It has eight memory channels, arranged in up to two DIMMs per channel, or 16 DIMMs per CPU socket. With 4800MT/s, DDR5 registered DIMM has a 38.4GB/s bandwidth. This offers a big leap in quality over DDR4-based servers.
Also, the DDR5 have advanced features like l’ECC on-die (ODECC), double the number of banks and double the burst length, improved refreshes. And also Decision Feedback Equalization (DFE) and dual independent 32-bit subchannels (40-bit for the ECC).
Iwona Zalewska, DRAM business manager in Kingston, EMEA, explains: “We are excited to announce that our next-generation server memory components have received certification on the 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor. Certification is always the first step for memory manufacturers to demonstrate the quality and compatibility of their memory solutions. DDR5 provides the technology to scale bandwidth and capacity to meet the performance requirements of tomorrow’s data centers.”
