LG Electronics announced the arrival of the compatibility of air conditioners, air purifiers and HVAC systems with Amazon Alexa. The devices, which integrate support for Wi-Fi technology, were already compatible with Google Assistant. Today, the integration with Alexa makes the solutions proposed by LG even more complete. For users there will be the opportunity to take advantage of new smart solutions for their home. Simple voice commands will be enough to use LG air conditioners and other solutions thanks to Alexa.
Leveraging the ThinQ platform, LG appliances have the ability to be managed intelligently by communicating with the smart speakers in the home, thanks to the LG ThinQ smartphone app. The integration of the Amazon Alexa support, which joins Google Assistant, represents a further strength of LG’s air conditioners and air purifiers. Thanks to voice commands, users will be able to manage appliances in an even smarter way. The LG ThinQ application is available for free on Android smartphones and tablets and on iPhones and iPads.
Gianluca Figini, Air Solution Director, LG Electronics Italia, declares: “Thanks to the compatibility with the Google Assistant smart speakers before and now also with the Amazon Alexa ones, we want to offer consumers maximum simplicity and comfort in the daily use of our appliances.”
The support for artificial intelligence represents an important strength of LG’s solutions. Figini continues: “Compatibility with other Artificial Intelligences is one of the founding principles of our strategy. LG ThinQ was developed precisely to make the platform open and connected to the service of a home that is becoming increasingly smart, thanks to the new generation of smart appliances that can also be controlled by voice ”.
