Life & Beth: a new Comedy on Disney Plus

A new series has landed on Disney Plus, it’s Life & Beth, an unmissable comedy, available in the Star section

Starting today, the section Starwhich Disney has dedicated to an adult audience, is enriched with an original TV series, composed by 10 episodes by title Life & Beth. This is a new one comedy which will bring the viewer into the life of Beth, a girl with a perfect life, at least apparently.

Life & Beth storyline and cast

Beth is a woman from life that many would define as satisfying. She lives in Manhattan, is respected by everyone, has a good job as a wine seller and has a long-lasting relationship with a successful boyfriend. It all seems perfect, until an accident forces the girl to dealing with his past. Through the memory of her teenage years, Beth begins to doubt herself and wonder who he really is and who he wants to become. Thus will begin a long path towards change which will lead her to be more courageous, true and aware. The public will accompany her during this journey, made of trauma, comedy and acceptance.

The series, produced by Endeavor Contenthas for protagonist Amy Schumer which is also Writer, director ed executive producer together Kevin Kane, Daniel Powell e Ryan McFaul. Schumer, comedian and screenwriter, is famous for having won two in the past Emmy Award for Inside Amy Schumer (2013) and for an appointment to ai Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical Series for A Girl Disaster (2015), with which she also won a Critics Choice Award.

Alongside the actress, we will find Michael Cera (Juno, 2007) and Susannah Flood (Law & Order: Special Unit, 2015-2020). In the cast also some Guest stars like Laura Benanti (Tick, Tick… Boom!, 2021), Kevin Kane (This Teacher, 2018), Larry Owens (Modern Love, 2021) e Michael Rapaport (One life at the most, 1993).

The comedy-drama was first presented on Huluthe American streaming service owned by The Walt Disney Company, il March 18, 2022 and already in April has been renewed for a second season of ten episodes.
