Little Orpheus, the award-winning narrative adventure from the creators of Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
Developers The Chinese Room, along with Secret Mode, announced today that Little Orpheus will arrive on consoles and PC starting from March 1, 2022. Players will be able to experience this technicolor adventure on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Steam, Epic Games Store and Nintendo Switch. Here’s the pre-launch trailer.
We are in 1962 and NASA is trying to send a man to the moon. In a remote corner of Siberia, a Soviet cosmonaut is heading in the other direction. Ivan Ivanovich is in fact left in an extinct volcano in his exploration capsule, Little Orpheus, to explore the center of the Earth. It vanishes promptly. Three years later he emerges claiming to have saved the world.
Players will be able to join Ivanovich as they explore lost civilizations, underwater kingdoms, prehistoric jungles and lands that go beyond imagination. The game is inspired by iconic films such as Flash Gordon, Sinbad and The Land Forgotten by Time.
Those who pre-order or purchase the game on Steam within the first two weeks of launch will also receive the soundtrack for free. The latter – nominated for an Ivor Award – was created by Jessica Curry and Jim Fowler.
