MacBook Pro 14 and 16 with M2 Pro chip will arrive in 2023

The news comes from the analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, Apple’s supply chain expert who often manages to anticipate Apple’s announcements. And in a tweet he explained that Apple’s new laptops for professionals should arrive on the market in early 2023after mass production by the end of the year.

Kuo writes: “The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with the new processors will enter mass production in the fourth quarter of 2022. Given TSMC’s guidelines that 3-nanometer chips will contribute to revenue from the first half of the year. 2023, i MacBook Pro 14 and 16 processors could still adopt the advanced 5 nanometer nodes ”.

Apple-designed M chips are made by taiwanese TSMC, a company that leads the forefront of innovation in processor architecture. Next year will start produce the 3 nanometer chipswith a process that should improve performance and decrease energy demand.

Previous reports indicated that the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips in the upcoming MacBooks would have a 3-nanometer process. But this seems to contradict what Kuo reported.
