Master of None: Season 3 date revealed

Master of None, the comedy series distributed by Netflix, will return in May with new episodes of the third season

The programming of Master of None it has been quite fluctuating and discontinuous over time. The first season was released in 2015 and the second in 2017. Subsequently, the series created by Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang was never changed, but remained in abeyance for four years.

The reasons behind the long hiatus date back to January 2008, when a woman with the pseudonym Grace accused Asari of sexual harassment, calling the comedian’s behavior at dinner with her as inappropriate, claiming she felt violated and describing the experience as truly horrifying.

Ansari defended himself from the accusations by issuing the following statement:

In September last year, I met a woman at a party. We exchanged phone numbers and started texting. Eventually we went on a date. We went out for dinner and then ended up in bed together, but it was a consensual relationship.

Master of None: the third will be Denise’s season

Today finally comes the confirmation that the third season will be released next May on Netflix. To reveal it, the official Twitter account Netflix Queque.

According to reports, the third season of Master of None will consist of five episodes (all directed by Aziz Ansari and written by Ansari and Lena Waithe) and will be titled Master of None Presents: Moments in Love.

The new episodes will focus almost exclusively on the figure of Denise, played by Waithe herself, a character who had been the protagonist of the eighth episode of the second season, entitled Thanksgiving. The episode had been a real success, so much so that it had won the Emmy Award for Best Screenplay in a Comedy.
