Monica Bellucci will be awarded at the David di Donatello 2021 ceremony with the David Speciale 2021 award

The David di Donatello 2021 ceremony is approaching, which will be broadcast live on Rai 1 on Tuesday 11 May and will be conducted by Carlo Conti.

Within the various awards, there will also be special attention to Monica Bellucci, who will receive the David Speciale 2021.

The actress, immediately after the announcement of the award ceremony, issued a statement stating the importance of her roots and Italian origins.

I thank the Academy of Italian cinema and the President Piera Detassis for this David. Receiving this recognition fills me with emotion because I have great respect for our cinema which has always been and continues to be a source of inspiration for world cinema. And even if my path has led me to the meeting of different cultures and artistic experiences in my heart, I always feel only Italian.
