New Windows 11 Update: Improvements Coming to Patch Tuesday

Microsoft has just released a new update to Windows 11, which allows users to try out some of the upcoming Patch Tuesday improvements in advance

The cumulative update of the Windows 11 KB5014668 it is therefore an optional update that users can download by manually checking for updates in Windows Update. The most important change is the introduction of research highlights on production devices, but at the same time the KB5014668 update also includes several noteworthy fixes.

For example, the update fixes a glitch that prevented users from upgrading to Windows 11, and it goes without saying that this was a serious bug that Microsoft (here for more info on the company) he simply had to correct as quickly as possible.

Most important changes of the new update

Here are some of the innovative contents.

  • Resolves an issue that may prevent you from upgrading to Windows 11 (original version).
  • Note that this is related to the timing of certain operations within the operating system and not related to the suitability of the device.
  • Resolves an issue that may prevent you from playing video clips in some games.
  • It solves an issue where some games stop working if they use certain audio technologies to play sound effects.
  • Resolves an issue that prevents the Bluetooth to reconnect to some audio devices after restarting the devices.
  • Change the name of the Your Phone app in Phone Link on the Settings page.
  • It fixes an issue that causes the personalization settings page to stop working Microsoft Surface Dial.
  • Resolves a known issue that may prevent you from using the Wi-Fi hotspot feature.

The next Patch Tuesday will take place on July 12th, at which point all enhancements that are part of this new cumulative update will be automatically offered to all Windows 11 devices via Windows Update. Additionally, upcoming updates will also include security patches for known vulnerabilities in Windows.
