The first set of tools of the Niantic Lightship Augmented Reality Developer Kit is already available through the official portal Lightship-dev. The platform brings together the three main characteristics of AR: real-time mapping, understanding and sharing. It will be easier for developers to create AR experiences using some or all of the ARDK tools. Over time, Niantic will also make an increasing number of tools available through its platform.
It should also be noted that Niantic Ventures will invest $ 20 million in companies that build applications for the Real World Metaverse, contributing to the global ecosystem. The initial fund is set to grow with new future investments.
