Nikon: partner of the third edition of ISPA

Nikon is technical partner of the ISPA-Italian Sustainability Photo Award, the first Italian photographic award dedicated to Sustainability which reaches its third edition this year

ISPA-Italian Sustainability Photo Award is the contest created by Parallelozero, a photojournalist agency specializing in the production of visual content, in collaboration with PIMCO.

ISPA’s goal is to collect and tell through photography testimonies of good practices with positive effects, stories of an Italy in transformation that focuses on a more sustainable future and which has undertaken conscious growth, innovation and choices. brave.

Nikon is sensitive to environmental issues, cares about nature and the protection of the environment and considers photography fundamental to sensitize people on what puts our planet at risk, because knowing problems through images can help change the world.

Environmental sustainability, social sustainability and sustainable governance are the three thematic areas of the competition within which photographers must try to express the key themes and concepts of sustainable development.

Nikon is also partner of the third edition of the ISPA-Italian Sustainability Photo Award

Among the novelties of the 2022 edition, the special Nikon – Capture Tomorrow award, which the company will assign to a single photo (or a photographic story) that better than others will have been able to “capture tomorrow”. The prize consists of a Nikon Z 6II mirrorless and a NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f / 4 S lens.

There are also three categories in which you can participate:

  • Single photo: up to ten photographs can be submitted, taken in Italy starting from January 1, 2019 and provided with captions in English (mandatory) and Italian (optional). Single photos that are part of photo stories can be submitted. The best single photo will be awarded a prize of 1,500 euros.
  • Photographic history: up to ten stories can be submitted. Each single series must consist of 8 to 12 images and accompanied by a text in English (mandatory) and Italian (optional). Photographs must be accompanied by captions in English (mandatory) and Italian (optional). At least half of the images submitted must have been taken in Italy starting from January 1st 2019. The best photographic story will be awarded a prize of 3,500 euros.
  • Grant: up to five projects to be developed in Italy can be submitted (accompanied by 10 to 30 images, taken in Italy or abroad) accompanied by a text and a development plan, both in English (mandatory) and in Italian ( optional). The best, financed with a grant of 10,000 euros, will be built in six months between April and October 2022.

The competition is free and open to all photographers, Italian and foreign, without age limits and the winning projects will be exhibited in a physical and / or digital exhibition. The location and methods will be communicated later.

An international jury made up of photographers, photo editors and curators and chaired by the journalist Tiziana Ferrario will evaluate the material received.

In the first two editions, over a thousand photographers of 52 different nationalities participated in the competition, with more than 5,500 photographs arriving in total from all over the world.
