Nintendo Direct | GameBoy and GameBoy Advance games come to Switch!

During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, among the many announcements of the evening, the arrival of GameBoy and GameBoy Advance games on Nintendo Switch was made official: here are all the details

After a slow and spiritless start, yesterday’s Nintendo Direct dropped some really interesting bombshells. We (obviously) saw The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (which yes, it has been confirmed will cost €70), but the surprises definitely didn’t end there. Between Metroid Prime Remastered (which seemed more like a Remake to us), Professor Layton’s new title and many trailers for the games arriving in the coming months, Nintendo managed to put on a great show last night too. But the news we were all waiting for wasn’t about Zelda, let alone about Layton. Come on, admit it, you were hoping for it too.

Nintendo has officially announced that will add GameBoy and GameBoy Advance titles to the Nintendo Switch Online service library. They’re actually already available since last night after the Direct, so if you’re a subscriber you can already take advantage of them. Specifically, the GameBoy games are available to all subscribers to the basic service, while for those of the Advance you will need the expansion pack. We leave you the announcement trailer right below.
