Nintendo Direct | Metroid Prime Remastered announced with a trailer, already available on Switch!

One of the surprises from last night’s Nintendo Direct was the “shadow drop” of Metroid Prime Remastered, announced with a trailer and already available on Nintendo Switch

Last night’s Nintendo Direct was bearer of great surprises and novelties, after a dramatically subdued start. The arrival of the GameBoy and GameBoy Advance Virtual Consoles via Nintendo Switch Online, the Collector’s Edition of Tears of the Kingdom and (hear, hear) the return of Professor Layton these are just some of the innovations fielded on the stage of last night’s big N. One, among all, stands out for the degree of surprise it aroused. Do you remember Metroid 4? Here, forget it. Back to basics.

During last night’s Direct Nintendo has literally “shadow dropped” the Remastered version of Metroid Prime, already available in digital version on Nintendo Switch. After years of rumors, indiscretions and rumors, this remastering (which to us, at first glance, seemed more like a real Remake) is officially a reality. Currently the physical version has only been announced, but no precise date has been confirmed. We leave you last night’s trailer right below.

Metroid Prime Remastered enters the Nintendo Switch catalog!

Metroid Prime was originally released on the GameCub in 2002, and it transformed the series’ original 2D style into a first-person title, which was one of the factors in its stellar success. Metroid Prime is unquestionably one of the most awarded and appreciated video games ever, a great classic that returns, this time, in a version that seems to be polished right down to the details. And by the way, still no Metroid Prime 4.

We repeat it therefore: Metroid Prime Remastered is already available for purchase on Nintendo Switch, currently only in digital version. Let us know if you will buy it below in the comments, we will continue to keep you updated with all the videogame and tech-themed news, guides and reviews! And if you are interested in game keys at advantageous prices, we suggest you take a look at the Kinguin catalogue!
