“Consistency in sales will be difficult to achieve in the seventh year of the console,” says Furukawa. “Our target of 15 million may be too optimistic. But we will do our best to raise demand for consoles by the holiday season in order to do that.” In all of this, Furukawa specifically denied rumors of new hardware for the current fiscal year (until next March).
