NordVPN has conducted independent security audits of its infrastructure and apps. Let’s find out the results of these tests

The cyber security company Cure53based in Germany, reviewed NordVPN’s security concepts and architecture maturity. Let’s find out what the results of these checks were.

The security of NordVPN’s infrastructure and apps is not in question

These checks carried out by Cure53 have highlighted the Nord Security’s willingness to guarantee transparent operations, advanced online security and reliable user privacy. Marijus Briedistechnical director at NordVPN, said the following:

External reviewers conducted penetration testing and source code audits on NordVPN’s servers, infrastructure and desktop applications for Windows, Linux and macOS, as well as mobile applications for Android and iOS. It is important to note that the tests confirmed extremely positive results regarding NordVPN’s mobile applications. The final report states that mobile applications “have made a solid impression and are remarkably effective in minimizing the attack surface“.

Also, Cure53 has reviewed and rated NordVPN websites, browser extensions, l’API e Threat Protection API, as well as the prices of the API, Nord Account, Nord Checkout, Nord UCP, VPN servers and NordLynx server-side code. Cure53’s report claims the following:

The server and infrastructure analysis was conducted in September and October 2022, while the apps and add-ons were examined in July and August 2022.
