NVIDIA: DLSS 2.3, Image Scaling and other solutions for gamers

Today Nvidia has released several updates to its suite of technologies for scaling: DLSS 2.3 and much more, let’s find out

DLSS 2.3 is finally here, even though it was already supported by some games. Not only that, because together with him also a update all’algorithm NVIDIA Image Scaling which now works with all games. The company did not miss anything, however, as it also released a new tool called INVENTION designed to provide an easy way to conduct image quality analysis and compare the results.

  • Farming Simulator 22 (launching November 22 with DLSS 2.3 support)
  • Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2
  • Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
  • Sword & Fairy 7

DLSS is a technology based on‘artificial intelligence able to increase frame rates maintaining image quality comparable to native resolution.

Spatial upscaling for all games

For many years the company has been offering a driver-based spatial upscaler called Image Scaling. This tool allows you to fix sharpening and upscaling for all games. With the new November Game Ready driver, we try to introduce updates to the scaling algorithm and make it more accessible through GeForce Experience.

Nvidia is also releasing the Image Scaling algorithm as SDK open source to offer better scalability and spatial clarity. The goal is to make it work on all the GPU and platforms.

Another novelty directly from the multinational is the release of a new tool comparison and analysis of image quality: ICAT. This tool will make more rapid it’s more easy for all to perform comparisons A / B the quality of an image and video in games.
