Finally here we are and the big day has arrived! From today, February 24, you will be able to play Octopath Traveler II on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PS5 and you will be able to immerse yourself definitively in eight new different adventures ready to be explored to the fullest. Published by Square Enix and developed by the creators of the first chapter dated by now (the very distant) 2018 and which has sold three million copies worldwide, Octopath Traveler II is set in the new world of Solistia. In this setting, eight wayfarers with unique histories and motivations will have to explore dangerous lands, face enemies in turn-based strategic battles and discover the dangers and promises of a new industrial age.

Octopath Traveler II tells an all-new epic story set in a new world independent of that of the original game. You will meet eight original characters and discover completely new features and game mechanics. Octopath Traveler II is also ideal for those new to the series, while retaining the charm of the original game for the enjoyment of fans, enhancing the series’ iconic HD-2D graphics: an impressive combination of retro 2D characters and a wonderful 3D world.

Among the mechanics that return compared to the original chapter we certainly find the Dominion and Power system for the fights, which will lead you to play strategically to exploit enemies’ weaknesses by dominating them and dealing more damage, as well as enhancing the skills of the wayfarers. Travel actions also return, where you can interact with NPCs from around the world in various ways using each character’s specific actions. Travel Actions will depend on the protagonist and the day/night cycle, which will also change the life of the cities and offer more opportunities to explore and discover various things.
