Official: Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard for $ 70 billion

It’s official, Microsoft just bought Activision Blizzard for the beauty of 68.7 billion dollars. This was announced by the American technology giant in person through a note, specifying that the transaction took place by paying $ 95 every single share of society. This is the umpteenth major acquisition by Microsoft, which is expanding its studios with more and more software houses of great interest.

This is a gigantic acquisition by Microsoft, even bigger than that of the Zeni-Max collective that brought it into the stables of the Xbox Studios Bethesda. In this way, the Redmond giant has taken over the intellectual property of brands loved by the public such as Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, Overwatch e Candy Crush, expanding in a way that is practically never seen before with a single acquisition.

We remind you in this regard that among the various studios that fell under the aegis of Actvision Blizzard there are Radical Entertainment, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games, Toys for Bob, Treyarch, Infinity Ward, King, Major League Gaming, Beenox, Demonware, Digital Legends and High Moon Studios; now all gone under the control of Microsoft, to the practical attack.

To crown this acquisition, Phil Spencer confirmed that all Activision Blizzard games will arrive at no additional cost on Game Pass. It is likely that these titles will be made available in this mode at launch, following the same strategy adopted with the Bethesda titles.

This news is undoubtedly one of those able to deeply shake the logic of the market, given that Activision Blizzard is in all respects one of the largest and most influential publishers on the entire planet. At this point we just have to expect great things from the joint work of these two enormous realities now united under the same roof.
