Overwatch: Anniversary Event Available!

Through a press release, Blizzard announced the continuation of the Overwatch event created to celebrate the five-year anniversary of the launch of the hugely popular title

The Overwatch team has recently suffered the abandonment of Jeff Kaplan, the mastermind behind the success of the Blizzard title, but the development of Overwatch 2 seems to continue quickly and even the events and news about the first chapter do not cease to arrive. Through a press release, the company announced the continuation of the event dedicated to the celebrations for the five years since the launch of Overwatch. Started on May 18th, the event will be available until June 8th on all platforms on which the game is available (PC, Xbox systems, PlayStation systems and Nintendo Switch). The Anniversary event brings back in the Blizzard title all the game modes that have been appreciated so much over the years, with daily rotation.

Then Lucioball and the Magical Winter Brawl, Chilling Halloween and Summer Games, Archives and Lunar New Year are back. Each will be available on specific days and you will be able to unlock all the seasonal cosmetic items they refer to. Additionally, Blizzard has also confirmed that Overwatch will be discounted up to 50% from May 18 to May 28 on Battle.net. On the occasion, a presentation trailer for the Overwatch Anniversary event was also released, which you can find right below.

New rewards and new ways to win them with the Overwatch Anniversary event!

To continue the celebrations, a new method of obtaining unique rewards and items has been introduced on the occasion of the anniversary. Play 9, 18 or 27 Quick, Arcade or Competitive games to get rewards, if you win you will get double points. Of course, new cosmetic items have also been added, both legendary and epic:

    • Sombra Gatta Nera
    • Baptiste Funky
    • Junkrat Junkfood
    • Moira Venus
    • Doomfist Gladiator
  • Epic models:
    • Ana Cybermedico (Week 1)
    • Echo Bird of Paradise (Week 2)
    • Wrecking Ball 8 Ball (Week 3)
