Panasonic; green light for support for the Dolby Vision VRR standard up to 60Hz. Now full compatibility with VRR and HFR with 4K resolution
Panasonic remains faithful to the commitment made with gamers at the beginning of the year, the world leader in the development of cutting-edge electronic technologies and solutions today announced the release of a firmware update for compatibility with the 4K2K resolution for refresh rates Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and High Frame Rate (HFR).
The same new firmware also supports the standard Dolby Vision VRR as far as 60Hz. Panasonic TVs will thus be able to offer an exceptional gaming experience in HDMI2.1, with Panasonic’s typical image quality and precision.
The update enriches the image settings menu with the new option “4K120Hz Bypass Mode”Which, once activated, enables the 4K2K VRR frequency bypassing various image processing (similar to what happens with Panasonic’s Pure Direct mode).
The new firmware update affects all 2021 models that support the HDMI2.1 standard (all OLED JZ models and JX940 LED series). If you want to continue to know the latest news from the hardware world, keep following us. Greetings from TechGameWorld.com.
