Among the surprises in the program of this one xx edition; Genoma Movies is pleased to announce the presence of the new film project, Gente Strana – Strange People from Marta Miniucchi.

Previewed as Special Event next Friday 21 October at 3.00 pm at the Giulio Cesare Cinema; a documentary halfway between fiction and archival material, focusing on non-governmental activities that for years have dealt with fighting against hunger and poverty in the third world.

Strange People: synopsis

Set between Bologna and Tanzania; Loris Bonetti is a reporter in charge of create a report on Cephas through the parallel story of the Tanzanian John Sagala and Marco Rinoldi, a young Italian boy who decided to become a volunteer and follow one of the projects in the Njombe region. Both are sons of ranchers, with the difference that John in Tanzania has a family in difficulty in managing the business due to poor preparation and few resources; Marco, on the other hand, in Italy does not want to have anything to do with his father’s large consortium.

The African experience and the work of Cepha it will make both grow through an exchange of values ​​and skills and Loris too will find that part of himself that he had lost.

The documentary was also made thanks to the precious collaboration with CEFA Onlus. After the special event in Rome, the film will be available on the big screen in the coming months, to finally land on the platform Sky Documentaries e  NOW TV.
