In Italy, according to recent estimates, every year 65 kilograms of food are wasted per personto. The economic loss is estimated at 10 billion euros. The need for an app that can cut waste, helping both merchants and consumers, is therefore evident. From this delicate and difficult situation a project like Phenix is born.
Phenix uses a geolocation system that allows you to schoose a shopkeeper’s shop that adheres to the initiative. This way it is possible create a thematic box and then go and collect it at a set time. The app is aimed at both sellers and consumers. On the one hand, in fact, it allows shops to value products destined to be lost. On the other hand, it aims to offer users a service designed to adopt a lifestyle that allows them to transform unsold items from waste into precious resources. For users there is the possibility to participate in the loyalty program with many rewards up for grabs.
