Philips Momentum: the first monitor designed for Xbox

MMD, a leading manufacturer of displays and licensing partner of Philips branded monitors, announces the world’s first Designed for Xbox series of gaming monitors. The Philips Momentum Designed for Xbox dedicated gaming console monitor is designed to give Xbox fans the ultimate experience. This monitor is dedicated to Xbox console gaming and includes the new HDMI 2.1 specifications, returning a next-gen gaming console experience with 4K resolution and faster 120Hz refresh rates for ultra clear and ultra smooth gaming performance. The Philips Momentum Designed for Xbox monitor for console gaming will now be available as a 55 ″ (139.7 cm) model for an unprecedented immersive experience.

Philips Momentum: a new frontier of console gaming

Unlike TVs, Philips Momentum gaming monitors are purpose built, with low latency and low lag as a priority, to provide a much smoother and more realistic gaming experience. The low input lag of the series is a big plus when playing games videogiochi Twitch-sensitive, allowing input to be recorded on the screen faster. The Philips Momentum 55 ″ flagship monitor (559M1RYV) will include a specially designed soundbar by Bowers & Wilkin engineerss, a British loudspeaker company world-renowned for its innovative design and sound engineering, which will complement the end-user experience.

Designed for Xbox

This new Philips Momentum monitor delivers Designed for Xbox performance in ultra-sharp 4K resolution with a minimum refresh rate of 120Hz, HDR support with DisplayHDR 1000, variable refresh rate for smooth gameplay, and a game mode Always Low Latency. The team worked together to create Xbox Game Mode which creates an engaging mode, with picture quality specially tuned for Xbox. For this monitor there has been close collaboration, numerous tests and validations carried out together with engineers from Microsoft and TPV, in order to ensure perfect compatibility, while also meeting the high expectations that Xbox fans have come to expect. Price and availability

The first model of the Philips Momentum Monitor series, designed for Xbox, will be available in a 55 ″ 4K version up to 144Hz, integrated Bowers & Wilkins soundbar, VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified starting from August 2021 at a price of 1399 euros. In any case, this is only the first step for the new Designed for Xbox gaming line: other models will be announced in the following months. Meanwhile, thanks to the new HDMI 2.1 specifications, the new Philips Momentum 559M1RYV will allow an incredible gaming experience with 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate on all next-gen consoles.
