The new Google Pixel Fold is shown in a video before the launch, which should arrive with the Google I / O event. It will be Google’s first foldable smartphone and promises to be a top of the range in all respects.

A short video of the alleged Pixel Fold, Google’s foldable phone, comes to Twitter from famous leaker Kuba Wojciechowski. The device doesn’t show the Google logo, but it seems to match the characteristics that the Pixel Fold should have. Which should arrive in two weeks at Google’s annual developer conference.

The video doesn’t reveal much, but it is noted that the Pixel Fold has a smaller external screen and a larger internal screen, which folds in half. The design reminiscent of the Oppo Find N, rather than that of foldables from Samsung and other brands. When opened, the internal screen has a rectangular shape that does not require you to rotate the phone to have the longer side at the bottom.

Many specifications are already known about the Pixel Fold: it should have an external screen from 5.8 pollici OLED FHD+ a 120 Hzand an internal screen from 7.6 inches nearly square at 120Hz, with a resolution of 2208 x 1840 pixels and an aspect ratio of 6:5.

The rear camera will be from 48 megapixels, with a 1/2 inch sensor and will be accompanied by an 11 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera. There will also be a camera with 11 megapixel 5x optical zoom, but with a somewhat narrow f/3 aperture. The cameras are low profile, and they won’t offer the same photo quality as a Pixel 7 Pro. Even if we know that Google makes the difference on the software.

Pixel Fold will have the same processor as the Pixel 7 series, i.e. a Tensor G2. And a long-lasting battery. The Pixel Fold will be a hardware challenge for Google, but it will also be interesting from a software point of view: we could see “pure” Android on a foldable device.
