playstation 5 beta supporto 1440p

Good news for owners of a PlayStation 5. The new beta firmware of the Sony home console, in fact, introduced the official support for resolution 1440p, a cross between Full HD and 4K. Those with a 1440p monitor will finally be able to take advantage of the native output on their panel. Here are the details:

The PlayStation 5 starts supporting 1440p resolution in beta

At the moment only in beta but also in stable version by the end of the year. THEThe 1440p is now officially supported on the PlayStation 5 with great benefits for users. The beta is only accessible by select users in the United States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany and France. If the game supports native 1440p, with this update, those with a monitor with this resolution will be able to take advantage of the native output.

Gamers with a 4K panel might, however, get an additional benefit with improved anti-aliasing via supersampling up to 1440p output. For the moment, however, VRR – Variable Refresh Rate is only supported at 1080p and 4K. There is no support for 1440p yet. Note that the new PlayStation 5 firmware update also introduces the game lists. Users can create up to 15 lists and each list can have up to 100 games. All the news of the beta are available on the blog ufficiale PlayStation.
