Today, it introduced the new high-performance QuTS hero TVS-hx74 NAS series. Including the four-bay TVS-h474, 6-bay TVS-h674 and 8-bay TVS-h874. All models integrate 12th generation multi-core/multi-threaded Intel Core processors. The TVS-hx74 runs the ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system which ensures data integrity as well as supports internal block-level data deduplication and compression, nearly unlimited snapshots, and real-time SnapSync. Featuring PCIe Gen 4 expandability (transmission speeds up to two times faster than Gen 3), M.2 NVMe SSD caching, and 2.5GbE connectivity, the TVS-hx74. The TVS-hx74 adopts 12th generation Intel Core and Pentium Gold CPUs and supports up to 128GB dual-channel DDR4 memory. It also has two 2.5GbE ports that offer faster speeds using Port Trunking. With M.2 PCIe 2280 slots, the TVS-hx74 allows you to use PCIe NVMe SSDs to improve IOPS performance when configuring SSD caching. High-speed PCIe Gen 4 slots are included to extend the core features of the NAS, such as adding 10/25GbE network adapters, QM2 cards to add M.2 SSDs, and 2.5GbE/10GbE ports. Plus basic graphics cards to enable GPU passthrough for virtual machines, and storage expansion cards to connect QNAP expansion enclosures. The HDMI output allows users to directly view multimedia content or VM content stored or running on the TVS-hx74.

The TVS-hx74 uses the ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system. Designed specifically for data integrity, the ZFS file system offers self-healing as well as being WORM (Write Once, Read Many Times) compliant. It also supports inline block-level data compression and deduplication technology for optimal storage utilization, faster data transfer, and longer SSD life. It also supports up to 65,536 snapshots to record the entire system status and data. The included App Center offers several install-on-demand applications to further expand the application potential of the TVS-hx74. Such as hosting virtual machines and containers (supports LXD, Docker and Kata Containers), simplify VMware/Hyper-V VM backup, simplify local/remote/cloud backups, simplify Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 backup , and so on.
