Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, two preview videos show some watch faces

Samsung, along with its Galaxy Fold and Flip devices, will release a few soon new Galaxy smartwatches. Since there are just a few days left, there are certainly leaks, and a couple of new videos have just been released that show us some of the dials arriving with the new Galaxy Watch 4, along with a few software features Wear OS 3.

Galaxy Watch 4, two new videos show the watch faces and a look at Wear OS 3

These videos, published by SamMobile, are significant because Samsung and Google have started collaborating on the next version of Wear OS. This means that what we see in these videos will set the stage for what we can expect from Wear OS 3. There are two videos disclosed, but they basically show the same content. A video is dedicated to Galaxy Watch 4 and the other shows the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. They both start off by showing a collection of watch faces and is where the two videos differ.

The first video, that of the Galaxy Watch 4, shows an analog watch face with the heart rate, sleep data and other health information. Another shows the numbers 6, 9 and 12, with the number 3 represented by some sort of little animated creature.

The second video shows a series of much more elegant analog dials and serious: the first are from Initial, and then move to the other quadrants. In this video there is also the watch face that shows information about one’s health.

In these Galaxy Watch 4 videos we see the usual selection of apps dedicated to health found on most smartwatches and fitness trackers. There is the pedometer which also tracks calories burned and time spent walking; there is also the sleep monitoring and body composition meter.

As for the other applications, let’s see the app Google Maps. The videos don’t show much of the app, but there is a search button at the bottom for easier navigation. There is also an app for the compass which gives the exact degrees and even shows the inclination. This may suggest more accurate location tracking with the new WearOS.

While these videos are really short, they show what it might look like Wear OS 3. For example, you see a user interface similar to that of Apple Watch, with icons placed in a honeycomb. With these new changes to Wear OS, it looks like Google is really working to turn its smartwatch operating system upside down. We can’t wait for the new smartwatches to be presented theAugust 11, at the Samsung event, together with the two new leaflets.
