Seagate e Lucasfilm: HDD ed SSD a tema Star Wars

For Christmas, the first collectible branded HDD and SSD storage drives inspired by Star Wars will be available

Seagate Technology presenta la new family of Star Wars Beskar Ingot Drives units, which is the first product resulting from a collaboration inspired by the Star Wars saga between storage devices for gaming PCs, elevating players’ devices to a higher level of performance.

The new Lucasfilm themed Seagate products

The first product born of the collaboration will celebrate the legends of the Mandalorian galaxy in Star Wars, introducing the iconic Beskar precious metal effect to the FireCuda range of units. The special edition designs will be available for 2.5 ″ SATA SSDs, M.2 NVMe SSDs and external hard drives. The units will look like a Beskar ingot, including the imperial seal that stands out on every device in the range, making them a must-have collector’s item for Star Wars fans. Jeff Fochtman, Seagate Technology senior vice president of marketing and commercial:

Unity SSD M.2 2280 faster than Seagate, the PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD, delivers speeds up to nine times faster than SATA-based SSDs, with sequential read / write performance up to 7,000 / 6,850 MB / s, and includes an elegantly designed heat sink with great installation flexibility and excellent performance. Thanks to the slim 2.5 ″ format, the SATA SSD offers versatile installation and various configurations. Gamers can power up their stations with external hard drives featuring a customizable RGB LED light bar.

This lightweight outdoor unit with simple compatibility of collegamento plug-and-play allows players to easily carry their entire game collection with them. The new drives include Seagate’s five-year warranty and three-year Rescue Data Recovery Services for data recovery.

Prices and availability

Unity PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD will be available in 500GB (€ 179.90) and 1TB (€ 259.90) capacities, unity 1TB ($ 199.90) and 2TB ($ 359.90) capacity SATA SSD and 2TB capacity external hard drive ($ 124.90). Although the Star Wars saga is millennial, the wait for the launch of these units will not be long. Star Wars Beskar Ingot Drives units will be available soon, in time for the holiday season.
