Sex Appeal: the movie on Disney Plus from 8 April 2022

Sex Appeal, the new American comedy starring Mika Abdalla, will be released on April 8 on the Disney Plus platform

Among the new releases proposed by Disney Plus for the month of April, we find Sex Appealan original American comedy Hulu. Let’s see what it’s about.

Plot

Avery Hansen-White she is a girl who loves to prove herself to be infallible. For this reason, she never does anything that does not lead her to guaranteed success and she never takes initiatives that could lead her to make mistakes. As she progresses through this unhindered life though, her remote boyfriend proposes to take their relationship to a higher level. Avery, taken aback and feeling unprepared, asks for help from Larson, his best friend, so he can prepare for his first time. The girl thus decides to study the mechanisms of love, in a path that will make her understand that in this field, the use of the head and the heart are more important than science.

The cast of Sex Appeal

Avery is played by Mika Abdallaalready appeared in Project Mc² (2015), alongside him Jake Short, in the role of Larson, already seen in ANT Farm – New Talents Academy (2011-2014) and Dexter (2009). We find then Fortune Feimster (Chick Fight, 2020) e Margaret Cho (17 Again – Back to High School, 2009), playing Mama Suze and Ma Deb respectively. Rebecca Henderson (Single Drunk Female, 2022) plays Ma Kim, while Mason Versaw (tick, tick… Boom !, 2021) those of Casper. He is also part of the cast Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michel Jacson, who plays Danica McCollum here; the girl had already appeared in 2018’s Gringo and The Space Between, from 2021.

Telia Osteen (The Shabbos Goy, 2019) is behind the camera, making his feature film directorial debut, while the screenplay is the work of Tate Hanyok (The Office, 2019).

Sex Appeal has already made its debut in early 2022 in United States. Before arriving in Europe, Disney Plus already made it available in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The film it is not suitable for children under sixteen.
