Smoke Man is the film that marks Stefania Sandrelli’s return to cinema: the release and various details were revealed through a press release, let’s find out together!

Distributed by Cinemusa, it arrives in cinemas on March 30, 2023 Man of Smoke, a road movie that tells an intriguing dramatic story told in a comedy tone and which represents a new collaboration between the director Giovanni Soldati and his life partner Stefania Sandrelli, directed on the small screen in the series Tales of the Marshal and on the great in Attention and The American bride. The protagonist of Uomo diFUmo is Selene Caramazza (Spaccaossa) flanked by Giorgio Borghetti (the soap Spell), Marco Valerio Montesano (The honeymoon: How I ruin your honeymoon), son of the great Enrico, Stefano Santospago (Suburra – The series) .

In search of the father figure (Giorgio Borghetti), of whom she knows absolutely nothing, but who certainly hides something mysterious and disturbing, Silvia (Selene Caramazza) is a twenty-two year old who, in carrying out an investigation into this “man of smoke” , she ends up investigating herself. A moment of growth that will allow her to enter the world of adults, surrounded, among others, by her grandmother (Stefania Sandrelli) who raised her, who for many years protected her from uncomfortable truths and by her friend Luca ( Marco Valerio Montesano), a boy studying law, as well as a fan of unsolved crime news cases.

Shot during the Covid period in the Lazio region (including Rome), with all the complications imposed by the contingent situation, Smoke Man is a passionate love story orchestrated between tension, mystery and suspense written by Fabio Scarpelli (The Postman), Marco Tiberi (Christine Cristina) and the same Soldiers. With the artistic direction of Mariella Li Sacchi, the film makes use of photography by Marco Carosi, editing by Matteo Perri, set design by Maurizio Carraro, costumes by Luigi Bonanno and original music composed by Rita Marcotulli for the Fox Band editions. The end credits piece, Green Ray, is performed by Chiara Civello. Stefano Antonucci, Simone Pieroni, Michele Renzullo, Tullio Sorrentino and Clara Galante are also part of the cast.
