Sony and Bluepoint: the acquisition of the team is official

Bluepoint has just joined Sony, with an acquisition that has been rumored for some time and that was only waiting for official confirmation news

Bluepoint e Playstation they will finally be united from the sacred constraint of Sony’s acquisitions of videogame development houses. This is what is confirmed in a post on the official Playstation blog, and confirmed by the President himself by Bluepoint Games Marco Thrush in a statement.

Thrush is very excited about the new adventure that will await Bluepoint together with Sony, and defines the future he wishes to bring to gamers through his words:

Austin, Texas has been the parent company of Bluepoint since it was first founded in 2006, and we are now a team of close to 70 super talented creatives, and we continue to grow. While the studio has certainly grown over these 15 years, our cultural beliefs have remained the same: always pushing ourselves to the limit and making games with the highest possible quality, while having fun. The focus on culture has been a vital accompaniment to our success, and we’re delighted that Playstation Studios share a similar vision and culture.
