Sony announces the FE 50MM F1.4 GM compact full-frame lens

Sony announced the new goal of the G Masterwhich combines resolution, quality bokeh and responsive autofocus in a lightweight format: here comes Sony FE 50 MM F1.4 GM. Compact and lightweight, the full-frame has an E-mount and a 50mm fixed focal length paired with an aperture of F1.4.

Advanced optical construction and quality elements continue to be part of the top-of-the-line G Master series, which is renewed with the FE 50MM F1.4 GM lens. With spherical aberration control, it allows you to create soft and deep bokeh at F1.4, for truly unique portraits.

There are two elements XA (Extreme Aspherical) which effectively correct field curvature, together with a glass element ED (Extra-low Dispersion) which cancels out chromatic aberrations. Added to this is the treatment Nano AR Coating II.

With putting in minimum focus of 0.41 metres and zoom from 0,16x with the autofocus active, it allows you to have really interesting shots and shots.

Also, the format is compact. Let’s talk about alone 80.6 mm in diameter, 96.0 mm in length and 516 g in weight. Compared to the category, we are at -33% by weight and -15% by volume. So much so that it becomes excellent for those who move often, even in combination with gimbals and drones.
