Sony offers a preview of Neil Blomkamp’s film Gran Turismo

The press conference of Sony for the CES it’s always a real show. Every year the company offers exciting surprises and interesting background stories. This year kicked off the ball rolling by bringing the director of District 9, Neil Blomkamp, on stage. For the occasion, the director offered the public and fans some unpublished information about his next project film Of Grand Touring.

Sony has perfected various unique shooting tricks to capture the look and feel of the public’s favorite motor racing series. We also recall that the studio was also the architect of the sequel to Top Gun of this year, Maverickincredibly well shot, so expectations are pretty high.

Announced last May, the film stars David Harbour, Darren Barnett e Orlando Bloom. “It’s a race car action movie that will make you feel like you’re in the middle of it,” Harbor said.

As reported by Deadline, Gran Turismo is “inspired by a true story. The film is the definitive story of a teenager’s wish fulfillment who plays Gran Turismo and who, thanks to his playing skills, wins a series of Nissan competitions to become a true professional race car driver ”.

Sony also stated that the film will officially debut will be released in theaters onAugust 11, 2023 and will be distributed by Sony Pictures. Finally, the company also announced that Gran Turismo will debut on the device PSVR 2 coming soon.
