Spotify is testing a new feature called Featured Curators, which will highlight playlists created by the most “followed” users.
With 406 million listeners worldwide, Spotify continues to put user tastes at the heart of the listening experience. Specifically, the platform has begun testing a feature called Featured Curators. The latter enhances the playlists created by influencers and users who are particularly followed for their musical selections. In this sense Featured Curators aims to recommend private playlists to individual users. In short, we will see the selections of several recommended curators as we already see the different Discover Weekly created by the Spotify team.
“One of the main ways that listeners bring their individuality to life is by creating playlists,” reads the official announcement posted on the streaming platform’s website. “So this month Spotify is testing a new way to amplify these selections by launching a pilot version of Featured Curators.”
