Even the filming of the fifth season of Stranger Things has not been spared by the strike of the writers who are suspending the activities

The writers of Stranger Things have halted production on season 5 due to a lack of an equitable deal with Netflix and other companies, which resulted in the WGA (Writers Guild of America) strike. The series was supposed to restart filming in June, but Matt e Ross Duffer, the creators of the series, have decided to participate in the general strike called by the union. They will therefore not return to work until there is a resolution of the matter. The Duffers explained the reasons for the strike stating:

The writing doesn’t stop when the shooting starts. While we are thrilled to begin production with our amazing cast and crew, that is not possible during this strike. Let’s hope a fair settlement is reached soon so we can all get back to work.

The fourth season of Stranger Things has set a record for Netflix in terms of viewership, reaching over 1 billion watch hours.
