Subnautica: working on a new chapter

Unknown Worlds Entertainment studio recently confirmed that a new chapter in the Subnautica survival series is in development

It’s been four years since first chapter of Subnautica and only one from its expansion, Below Zero, but the urge to to explore underwater and trying to survive in extreme conditions is still high enough to push the team to want to create a new chapter. So let’s go and understand a little better what it is!

Subnautica: all underwater!

In a recent announcement posted on Twitter from the studio Unknown Worlds Entertainmentalso famous for the two Natural Selectionstated that they are looking for a Senior Narrative Designer to take the series beyond the known limits at its current level.

Unknown Worlds is looking for a Senior Narrative Designer to join the team working on the next game in the Subnautica universe. This person will work closely with the team to tell compelling and dramatic stories in the context of the gameplay experience, while also defining the history and lore of a new science fiction world and its alien inhabitants. This person has a unique opportunity to join the team early in development and help set the narrative direction for a beloved franchise.

We also remember that, although last year the Krafton (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) acquired Unknown Worlds Entertainment, the studio continued to, however work independently. It is therefore one development in its early stagesbut it is more than enough to give hope that a new chapter will arrive in the coming months.
