Only last March 10 did the community of enthusiasts celebrate Mar10 day, or the day dedicated to the most famous moustached plumber in the world of video games (we also talked about it in a dedicated article). Last month, among other things, the final trailer of the animated film dedicated to the famous Nintendo mascot was also shown, due out today also in Italian cinemas. As if all this were not enough, a small clue about the next Super Mario title may have been launched in the last few hours.

Miyamoto drops a hint about the next Super Mario title

Well yes, Shigeru Miyamoto may have dropped a small hint about the next title in the series, which should follow the highly acclaimed Super Mario Odyssey, which was released almost six years ago. In an interview with Variety (which you can view below), the creator of the iconic character was asked when fans around the world can expect to see a new chapter in the franchise. In response, the creator of the saga smiled and advised everyone to keep an eye out for future Nintendo Directs.

That the Kyoto giant is working on a new chapter and intends to officially show it in the next Direct? Or is it just a way to whet the fan’s imagination? Miyamoto’s response was predictably very vague, but that certainly won’t stop the community from speculating about the arrival of a new game in the series. We just have to follow Miyamoto’s advice and wait for a future Nintendo Direct, for any official announcements.
