The battle of Apple employees to win a union organization continues. Atlanta workers, on the other hand, will vote to be represented by Communications Workers of America. To be able to achieve the goal they have set themselves, over 50% of the 100 employees of the store will have to vote in favor of the union. A quorum that is not difficult to achieve, considering that over 70% of the store’s workers expressed interest in organizing.

After filing a formal application in April, employees at the Apple Store in Atlanta were finally able to get permission to vote. This will be held in attendance from 2 to 4 June, and will not accept the sending of ballot papers. Apparently, Apple tried to postpone the vote to July. But the CWA objected as it was clear the company just wanted to take the time to get employees to change their minds about it. On the other hand, Apple has never explicitly stated that it is against the organization of workers. Yet the company is already working with Littler Mendelson’s attorneys, known for their anti-union activities.

For their part, some time ago the employees published a letter in which they explained their vision of what work in the company should be like.
