According to some recent rumors, the new series Samsung Galaxy S23 could only use the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip worldwide. Apparently, therefore, the South Korean company will abandon the Exynos 2300 as it cannot compete with the SM8550. But let’s try to find out more.
Once again it is Ming-Chi Kuo to give us interesting updates on the new Galaxy S23 series. As stated in a tweet, Qualcomm it should be the exclusive chip supplier for Samsung’s new smartphones. Indeed, it is very likely that the chip 5G SM8550 – made with the TSMC 4nm process – will power the Galaxy S23 models, offering advantages over the previous SM8450 and SM8475 in terms of computing power and energy efficiency.
Beyond these details, the Net has given us other interesting indiscretions on the technical specifications of the series. A previous report, in fact, had stated that the standard model and the Plus model will use the same 10MP resolution for telephoto, shared with previous models. Equally interesting, then, is the rumor that Samsung’s flagship smartphone will have a tinnovative technology for batteries. According to a whistleblower, the company is considering using the stacking method for electric vehicle (EV) batteries for its new line of phones.
The South Korean tech giant should now replace the “jelly-roll” method currently used with the stacking method for its smartphone batteries as well. A change that could lead to a significant increase in the capacities of the Galaxy S23 series battery over the Galaxy S22 range.
