The iPhone 14 will have the A15 Bionic processor

In recent days the new series of iPhone 14 has made a lot of talk about itself, also allowing the circulation of interesting advances on future Apple models. Among the most interesting rumors, the endowment of the chip A16 Bionic – albeit not yet announced – for the Pro and Pro Max models. As for the basic models, however, it would seem that they retain the “traditional” A15 Bionic.

iPhone 14: Base models will have the A15 Bionic chip

Over the last few days, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has provided quite a few useful information about the technical characteristics of the new iPhone 14 series smartphones. As anticipated, the base models will keep the A15 Bionic chip, which is probably due to a choice marketing of the Cupertino company. According to Kuo, the problem would not be the supply of semiconductors, but rather the desire to “reduce the pressure on costs”. Or even to create one greater differentiation between the basic models and the Pro models of the new iPhone series.

After all, this would explain well why Apple would have decided to equip the high-end models with the new – and highly performing – A16 Bionic chip, leaving the “old” A15 on the cheaper models. On the other hand, this would not seem to be the only difference. As it turns out, all iPhone 14 series smartphones will have 6GB in RAMbut the base models will feature the RAM LPDDR4X. And the Pro models will have the RAM LPDDR5, effectively creating a technical difference and also affecting the operating speed. Beyond this, it would also seem that there will be substantial differences in the display equipment. The 14 and 14 Pro models will have a 6.1-inch screen, while the 14 Max and 14 Pro Max will have a larger 6.7-inch display. In any case, these are only rumors, which we could confirm in a few months.
