The film tells the story of a solitary and unscrupulous professional assassin, who however finds himself missing an important shot. Disappointed and full of desire for revenge, he will set off in search of his instigators, in a hunt that will extend between Paris, New York and New Orleans. In the midst of scenes of great adrenaline, the man must however know how to be patient and seize the right moments. It will be precisely in these moments of quiet that he will rediscover his philosophy about him. The cast of the film consists of the protagonist Michael Fassbender it’s yes Tilda Swinton, Charles Parnell, Arliss Howard, Monique Ganderton, Lacey Dover, Kellan Rhude, Suzette Lange, Monika Gossmann e Brandon Morales.

The words of the director

David Fincher, known for his previous projects such as Fight Club (1999), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), The Social Network (2010) and for producing the recent series Love, Death & Robots (2019-ongoing), he stopped to talk about his latest effort, confessing that:

The film represents my personal attempt to reconcile the vision I have had of cinematic stories for years with the way of telling them. […] I also had a certain curiosity about the revenge genre, as a tool to create tension. I like the idea of ​​this assassin who has his own personal code, an interior monologue that makes him repeat a sort of mantra that charges him. A mantra with indications like ‘no empathy’ and ‘always get ahead of the opponent’. However, he is not a character who embodies evil, because deep down he is also a man full of doubts.
