The Last Looks trailer seems to be fun

From the trailer, Last Looks looks promising, in which Mel Gibson is an eccentric actor who must free himself from a crime

We didn’t know anything about this Last Looks yet, but thanks to the trailer, which you can watch here, we notice that it could be a funny movie.

The plot and the cast

The film stars Charlie Hunnam and Mel Gibson, surrounded by a very respectable cast that includes in addition to the aforementioned actors, also Morena Baccarin, Lucy Fry, Dominic Monaghan, Method Man, Clancy Brown and Rupert Friend.

Charlie Waldo, played by Charlie Hunnam, is a former LAPD superstar who he left the service and now lives a simple life in solitude in the woods.

The Last Looks trailer seems to be fun

Alistair Pinch, played by Mel Gibson in fact, he’s an eccentric actor who spends his days drunk on the set of his TV show. When Pinch’s wife is found dead, he is obviously the main suspect Waldo is persuaded to return to service to investigate what happened.

The case will bring Waldo to grips with gangsters, Hollywood executives, and kindergarten teachers, who they are divided between those who try to exonerate Finch and those who, instead, try to confirm his guilt.

Production

Adapted from a novel by Howard Michael Gould, who adapted it for the screen, wrote the screenplay, and directed by Tim Kirby, the film stars Charlie Hunnam and Mel Gibson, who immediately joined the project, in October 2018 together with Eiza González. The rest of the cast joined the film during the summer of the following year.

The film was originally called Waldo, but was renamed Last Looks in June 2020. In December 2021, RLJE Films acquired the rights to the film and set the release for February 2022. Principal photography began in Atlanta on June 18, 2019.
