The news comes from the GamesBeat reporter and gaming industry expert Jeff Grubb, who comments that The Last of Us remake is coming soon. “I keep hearing it’s coming out this year. The Last of Us Remake, these “Christmas holidays”.

Several sources are confirming this possibility, with the insider Tom Henderson which speaks of the “second half of 2022”, an indiscretion confirmed by Bloomberg. In April Naugthy Dog he tried developers on LinkedIn for what was a “remake project”.

Neil Druckman at CES 2022 he had only announced that Naughty Dog is working on “several game projects”, without specifying which ones. But with The Last of Us show coming out on HBO for 2023, it seems likely that Naughty Dog wants to refresh fans’ memories with a remake.
