Square Enix has shared a new trailer for Final Fantasy 16, which this time shows us some of the magical places that characterize the world of Valisthea. In the new footage we see the protagonist Clive going through different locations that players will be able to explore in the game.
Between an imposing canyon and a breathtaking waterfall, Clive’s eyes become ours in admiring the landscapes that make up the vast game world. Deserts, oases, villages and storms: many biomes and characteristic places that will make the gameplay of Final Fantasy 16 decidedly captivating.
We remind you that the game does not include a real explorable open world. Despite this, the playing areas, as confirmed by the trailer, will be decidedly large. We now understand what she meant Hiroshi Takaigame director of Final Fantasy 16, who said last year that “the game will be made up of multiple maps that come together”.
Also Naoki Yoshidathe game’s producer, explained that the game would prefer large and divided environments to an open game world.
“We decided to avoid an open world design that limits us to a single open space – said Yoshida – and instead focus on an area-based indie game design that can give players a better feel of a truly ‘global’ scale. .
Final Fantasy 16 is expected to release on June 22nd 2023exclusively for PlayStation 5.
