Fossil announces the debut of its new generation of wearable devices with the arrival of the new Fossil Gen 6. The new device from the Fossil range will be the first smartwatch to use the platform Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+, a solution that can minimize application loading times, maximizing the user experience.
The new Fossil Gen 6 represents the latest evolution of Fossil’s range of wearable devices. At the base of the project is the platform Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+. Thanks to the new platform, Fossil’s new smartwatch promises reduced loading times and greater energy efficiency.
Battery recharging times are also significantly reduced and halved. The new Fossil Gen6 can count on continuous heart rate monitoring and a new SpO2 sensor. Also present the speaker function to make and receive calls. On the software side we find Wear OS by Google (with update to Wear OS 3 in 2022).
The smartwatch is available with 44mm or 42mm cases and a 1.28-inch touch display. Case, bezel and pushers are in steel. Bluetooth 5.0 LE, WiFi, GPS, NFC SE support is provided. Sensors included are accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, altimeter, PPG heart rate, SpO2, off-body IR, ambient light
